Is Leno so hard up for publicity these days that he has to make his resignation announcement five years in advance?
I'm actually glad though, because I originally had plans that night, and now with such early notice, I can reschedule! Or at least set my VCR, if it's not obselete by then. Maybe I should use my teleporter to get home in plenty of time, just in case. Unless it's acting up again, which I'm pretty sure it is, because knowing me, I bought a "reconditioned" materialization device. (I predict sad stories about the Trisler teleporter.)
But I have to cut corners somewhere, especially if I ever want to afford one of those holographic interactive entertainment centers I keep seeing everywhere.

I'm not Jane. Gotcha.
PS: I would like to express my absolute horror at the results when I searched for "The Jetson's pictures". EW! Sick sick sick world. Shame on you!!
I'm of the opinion that Leno should have gone YESTERDAY.
Give me more Conan!
Posted by: JosiahQ at September 30, 2004 10:32 PMOh, The Jetsons... What a nostalgia. They still show it on Cartoon Network, but it seems kids just don't watch it anymore. And, lol, I've tried to google Jetson and I agree with you about the world. Freaks!
Posted by: Jano at October 1, 2004 03:36 AMShannon, whenever I need a good laugh, I will always come to your blog because you are SO funny!
Posted by: another Shannon at October 1, 2004 11:10 PMI agree, Shannon is very funny and I love to laugh!
And it's sick what you get when you google so many seemingly innocent subjects. Is the whole world really so obsessed with "that"? Or can't they get a date? That's just sad.
Anyhoo, as for the original subject, 5 years in advance, isn't that silly? Is it so everyone goes "Oh, no! only 5 more years? I'll start missing him right now!" I kind of liken it to announcing "in 30 years, I'll be dead".
I'm a "Letterman" fan, myself....
