Smiling Over:

1. Wrenn's curls. Boingelicious!
2. The way Eli says "Christmas".
3. Small talk with an 8 year old I just met, who is, quite probably, much cooler than me.
4. The miraculous properties of Infusion 23. Have you seen my hair lately? I'm a rock star!
5. My dad admitting he's "not much of a phone person". Oh really? I never would've guessed it, Dad.
6. Wrenn wondering aloud if Santa has a bed at the North Pole and who tucks him in.
7. A playdate for mommies, too. Spinach strata and Christmas cartoons go quite well together!
8. The theme song I hear in my head when my baby kicks. (Let's just say it involves shakin' that thang)
9. My inability to accurately count down the days to Christmas.
10. Turning the ringer off. Oh blessed quietness.

I had a super-fun time! Thanks so much for coming! Every time we get together, I think, "Why so long since the last visit?"

BTW, did Patrick like the strata?

shannon - i have been reading your blog for awhile without commenting, can't even quite remember how i got here originally, and you're super fun :) (congratulations on the baby!) ... but i have a question. i've gotten to "she's a flight risk" from your blog roll... i've been reading a lot of her stuff trying to figure out what i think. i thought that you probably keep up with her stuff since you got to be first runner up for that contest that she held ... so i wanted to know ... what do you think? is she serious? is it fake? i'll keep reading either way, but still ... one can't help but want to know. hope your day was good. :)

Debbie: Patrick did like the strata. I had wayyyy too much though. That's definitely a group meal! We'll be eating strata for weeks!

Angela: I'm so glad you commented! Isa is intriguing, isn't she? I can't decide for myself. It's such an out there story, but strange things happen, so I won't dismiss it just because it seems unlikely. Regardless, it's so well written and provocative, I can't NOT read it! I have a feeling it might be fiction, maybe even a precursor to a movie/book, which would be awesome! Why don't you write Isa and see what you think? She'll write you back, which is just too cool.
