Nothing Gold Can Stay
FILED UNDER: Everyday Life
November 27, 2005

I started this blog in June 2003 with my favorite Robert Frost poem, A Peck of Gold.

I end it now, I think quite appropriately, with Nothing Gold Can Stay, another by Robert Frost.

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

The time has come, dear friends, to bid APOG adieu. We've laughed, we've cried, we've wasted lots and lots of time when we should have been working. But before you rail against the fates, I am very VERY happy to say, I am not giving blogging up, only retiring APOG. I have a new site, with seats saved for each and every one of you. I am working on it as we speak, and I promise, it's quite the dandy. It will be ready within a day or two. I'm planning a house-warming party, and there will be beer. And loud music. And break dancing. The neighbors will probably call the cops, so you know you don't wanna miss it.

I am not posting the web address here, but will send it to you directly. I know, I know. That means you have to actually DO something. I'm sorry. Forgive, eh? That's it though- I promise I won't make you do any of the heavy lifting. Just holla at me (literally if you're mad about changing your bookmark!) at apogblogATyahoo.com, and I will send you the link as soon as she's ready.

Thanks for sticking with me for these past years. I will miss APOG, but I am really excited about the things to come. Hope you'll be there for the evolution!
